About Dr Emma Keaveny-Cook
When we are stressed and overwhelmed, we can often find things more difficult and therapy, whether for one session or regularly for one year, can offer space to make sense of this. Emma is also trained in using Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and has found this a useful way of working with a wide variety of presenting concerns.
Emma is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who enjoys working collaboratively with her clients to understand their current experiences and why they are seeking help. Emma is always keen to be guided by you as to how much we need to focus on the present and how much on the path that led you here.
Emma works in an integrative way which draws on ideas about how we build and maintain relationships (attachment theory), how one person or context impacts on another (systemic theory) and how our own thoughts and feelings interact (cognitive behaviour therapy). We would work together to understand what thoughts of feelings might be underlying your experiences.
Emma is happy to arrange a brief initial call to answer any questions you may have.
