About Nellie Evans

Nellie is a registered integrative counsellor who works with individuals, couples and families. She holds a post graduate degree in counselling, having working in the not for profit sector prior to entering private practice. Nellie sees clients of all ages from children through to adults and utilises a range of modalities and resources to best identify, understand and work with their presenting issues 

With further degrees in Communication and Education, Nellie brings over 20 years experience working with children and families in public and private settings. She has significant experience working alongside and leading other educators in the area of individualised educational needs and mental heath care plans.

In addition to her work in mental health, Nellie has a long history of advocacy in the disability and carer space. Within this field, Nellie has seen and worked with the impact of diagnosis, declining health and carer strain on marriages and family relationships. Nellie brings sensitivity and awareness to this area of her practice. 

Nellie’s clinical work is tailored to the client and is informed by trauma informed practice, attachment, and family systems theory.

Nellie is a certified counsellor and member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).  

Nellie is currently working Wednesday and Fridays and is available by appointment at other times.
